of Engagements
- We advised a major buyout firm on a commercial
due diligence of a ₤500m nursing home business. In addition
to the vendor documents, we based our work on in depth management interviews,
benchmarks with other industry players, and external interviews with
the department of health, finance directors at local authorities and
primary care trusts, and leading industry experts.
- We helped a ₤30m orthopaedic product company successfully secure
funding for product development. Our work included interviewing
20 key opinion leaders, including the former Presidents of the British
Orthopaedic Association and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons,
a former Chairman of the American Board of Surgery, and senior decision
makers at NICE and Blue Cross Blue Shield. We also model financials and
assessed likelihood of reimbursement approval.
- We performed commercial due diligence a ₤50m clinical
technology company. In addition to rigorously analysing the
management’s growth plans, we interviewed 15 heads of clinical
technology in mid and large biopharmaceutical companies as well as the
FDA regulator most influential in the technology’s adoption.
- We conducted a US market entry strategy for a public
UK medical device company by analysing the US market for
a specific diagnostic area and identified two key obstacles the company
had to be overcome. We also helped the company evaluate distribution partners
and understand the industry economics in the US.
- We helped a global fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) company define
its healthcare strategy. Our work drove their decisions
regarding investment in product lines, acquisition, and channel development.
